Athena School, The

The Athena School is one of the hidden treasures of education nestled in a leafy part of Newtown on heritage premises. It is independent, co-educational, non-denominational and registered by the NSW Board of Studies from Pre-Kindy to Year 10.  It is part of the Applied Scholastics International network utilising a unique teaching and study method which enables the students to overcome study barriers and become enthusiastic, confident and independent learners successfully pursuing their goals.  Specific features are smaller classes, friendly and approachable teachers and individual attention to ensure each student attains his academic potential.  Attention is placed on values and virtues, community activities and human rights.
